The idea behind those amazing inforgraphics is that superheroe's / supervilan's lifes are a bit more complicated, than of the usual burger, thus their family, friends and enemies ties would be quite complicated. This guy actually has spent a lot of time on figuring out wtf is happening in our heroe's lifes. Also he seemingly has spent a bit of time on doing the graphical part.

The time flies and technology evolves. The times, when selfhosted WordPress used to be the pinnacle of the Web 2.0 are gone. Not because WordPress is an inferiour platform, in fact WP is one of the most amazing publishing platforms out there. The problem is that by installing the WP on your own server, one is separating himelf from the socium. Tumblr, Posterous, LJ and WP host took over the hostig function and nobody minds having a third level domain with these guys. And why would they? I mean do we want to pretend, that we are a corporation with it's own beautiful domain? This is ridiculous. Good domains are few and not monetizing them is rather silly. Now, who is getting crazy cash for ther personal ramblings... exactly. 

For today's consumer remembering the third level domain has become even simpler, since the rest everybody knows already xxx.tumblr.com or xxx.posterous.com. Connect to them with FB and there is nothing left to remember: it is all on our life's dashboard – the Facebook.

Having said all this, I am still doing the custom domain thing, simply because nobody wants to buy my domain and haven't come up with a good use for it yet.

Seriously, does it get any better than “Hard Times” by Human League?! I mean this is like the fucking Russian science fiction movie that I have seen back in the 80-ies with the ambiguous name “don’t joke with the robots”, but this time with the consistent beat, though still in the same 80-ies settings. It feels like Robert Palmer and Peter Gabriel have joined and produced the thing. Even now I cannot type quietly and dance once in a while, waking up my partner with my elbow movements in my office / kitchen / living room. I mean, come on – I am doing the robot! True enough – I do have couple of promiles up my blood, but then again, there is nothing to do tomorrow (between us, I am depressed, because I’ve got nothing to do of a value and I absolutely detest the domestics, so that does not count), but that has nothing to do with me now ranting about some random shit. After all, I could do this every single day, but I didn’t, did I? Regardless, welcome back and let’s see what’s coming…

Righ, I never thought I will say this, but we, being European snobbish twats, are pretty ignorant about Americans. Probably just as much as they are about us. I mean it is funny to laugh at them for not knowing the basic European geography, but how many of us know all the states, let alone their capitals? I mean, what is the capital of California? What is the capital of Iowa? Is Rode Island a state at all?

And then there is Texas... Our perception of that state is just bizarre, I must say: we think the state is full of rednecks with arms and permanently drunk, while at the same time they manage to wear Steltons, cowboy boots and be oil barons, right? I mean, it does not even make sense, does it?

You know what, I think I will just retire for the night right now and continue with this post some time tomorrow...

Also, I have started using LinkedIn intensively. Certainly beats Facebook...

Normally, as my mobile phone, I am using iPhones exclusivley, snice they offer me pretty much all I need from a smartphone, but I have been very interested in looking into Android, since the whole open source, while I think is a total bullshit, nevertheless by pure logic opens quite a lot of possibilities for the developer, alas there should be plenty of extrordinary software. Being in Australia now for quite some time, I figured to get one of HTC Magic to play around in the evenings when I got nothing better to do. All phones are SIM locked in OZ, but having spent enough time in Antwerp, Belgium (the home of dodginess for electronics), I know better -- went out, bought an unlocked unit and started playing around. Found couple of flaws, most annoying of which was no possibility to search local. Then, couple of days later -- hurray! Android went 1.6 Donut, that has exactly this functionality amongs others. Great... Waited for the OTA update... nothing... official rollout... nothing. Started to look for the ways to manually update my unit. Found plentyful of files, but since my HTC Magic runs 1.5 Cupcake CRB43, could use none of them, as they where all ready for CRC1. Shit! Finally, today, I have found what I have been looking for. Here it comes: CRB43 to CRC1 is here CRC1 to DRC92 is all over the place. Enjoy!
